The Jay County Corporation offers a comprehensive quality educational experience for students living in the county-wide school district. Portland students are served by three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Jay Schools have received numerous state and national awards in recognition of its academic and athletic programs offered. Lifelong learning is made available through the John Jay Center of Learning.
